Council of African & Diasporic Indigenous Spiritual Systems (CADISS) is a committee of practitioners and professionals based in the UK. Our aim is to advocate and lobby for the protection and accurate representation of African Spiritual Knowledge Systems, both Continental and Diasporic.
Our objective is to educate, inform and raise awareness among the general public of the historical injustice perpetuated against these Systems. The ongoing persecution continues the systemic oppression of practitioners
of these Traditions across the globe. We are petitioning for the recognition and inclusion of African Indigenous Spiritual Systems (AISS) in the corpus of world religions and mainstream education and society. They should be afforded the same rights as other religious and spiritual expressions, so the true merit of ‘Religious Tolerance’ is achieved for all.
The purpose of this Manifesto is to provide clear definitions and guidelines in terms of terminology, uniting doctrine philosophies and practices. This will enable the various expressions of these Traditions to be effectively managed
and catered for legally, politically and socially.
